I thought "Huh, been a while since I've checked out OOTS, maybe it's time for an archive binge," and I read up to the most recent strip. I was therefore always getting a nice, well-shaped chunk of story at a time, with not much in the way of pesky Gotta to keep me coming back before another year or so had passed. This suited me well, in large part because I had an amazing talent for "remembering" about the strip just when a major plot arc had neatly wrapped up. Then I'd think "Huh, wonder what's happened in Order of the Stick since last I checked it out?" and read up to the current strip again.
