No audio sync issues, and the software ha great settings for the quality of the capture you want. But for straight up capture for editing, this thing is fantastic. So I can't not comment on the streaming capabilities. I do not do much streaming, as I am into capturing video for editing in pro video software. i need to be able to split the PS4 Pro hdcp 2.2 signal into 3 (one goes to the elgato HD60 capture device, which probably means ill need to turn off hdcp to make this work, since none seem to allow hdcp 2.2 to hdcp 1.4 etc). I have captured 6 videos already, all of them multiple hours long. My onkyo 1030 only has one HDCP 2.2 port.

I un-boxed it, plugged it into my Windows 10 laptop, installed the software from the website, plugged in my video source, and I was up and running without ANY issues. This capture card is by far the easiest card I have ever owned.

I have used cards and units from Pinnacle, Aver Media, Blackmagic Design, and Happaugh.Īlthough I use the Blackmagic Design cards for the higher end/uncompressed captures, I was looking for something portable I could use with my laptop to capture full HD from several different units. Bad drivers, audio sync issues, over heating cards, etc. Like most such capture devices, the Game Capture HD 60 is a pretty simple affair. My desctop is slow Core 2 Duo E6750 2.66GHz so PCI-E isn't much of an option for me but my notebook is i7 2670QM 2.2GHz (4cores/8threads), 8GB, 555M so I hope it should be enough even for adding overlay video to the OBS. Elgato Game Capture HD 60 Design and Features. I have had several capture cards over the years, and have dealt with MANY head aches. Would Elgato HD60 be good for a person who wants to capture his PS4 gameplay for Youtube and also be able to stream to twitch. I have been working with video capture since 2004 when I started with SD video with Pinnacle Studio version 8.
